Bakhita
Saint Josephine Bakhita was born in 1869 in Sudan.
She became a slave when she was kidnapped from her home by slave traders. She was sold to several families as a slave until she was sold to a kind a Catholic family.
It was this kind catholic family that brought her to Italy and she became a famous nun.
She was canonized by Pope John Paul II.
She is known for her kindness.
